Helping People Find Home Never Gets Old
One thing this career has taught me is that gratitude doesn’t have to wait for a holiday or a special occasion. It’s woven into the work itself. Every time I sit down with someone who’s ready to buy their first home, or a family preparing to sell a place full of memories, I’m reminded of what a privilege it is to do this job.
Thankful for the Trust
Buying or selling a home is a big decision. For most people, it’s the largest financial investment they’ll ever make, but it’s also deeply personal. It’s where life unfolds—birthdays, quiet mornings, last-minute dinners with friends. When people trust me to help them through that process, I don’t take it lightly. Their trust is the foundation of this business, and it’s something I work hard to earn and keep.
Thankful for the Stories
No two situations are ever the same. One week I might be helping a military family relocate to Bremerton. The next, I’m working with someone downsizing after decades in the same house. I meet first-time buyers, seasoned sellers, and people moving here from across the country. Every client brings a story, and being part of their next chapter is what makes this work meaningful.
Thankful for the Place We Call Home
Doing this work in Kitsap County makes it all the more rewarding. I grew up here, and I know what makes each part of the county unique. Bremerton has its waterfront character, Poulsbo has small-town charm, and Silverdale continues to grow and evolve. Beyond the houses, I get to introduce people to the coffee shops, trails, and ferry rides that make this area feel like home.
Thankful for the Challenge
Real estate isn’t always smooth sailing. Deals fall apart. Inspections bring surprises. Timelines get tight. But each challenge teaches me something new and pushes me to show up better for the next client. I’m thankful for the growth that comes from navigating those moments and for the people who stick with me through them.
Looking Ahead
When I think about gratitude in this business, it isn’t about one big moment—it’s about the collection of small ones. It’s the relief on a client’s face when their offer is accepted. It’s the joy of handing over keys. It’s the message months later saying, “We love it here.” Those are the things I carry with me, and they’re why I feel lucky to do this work every single day.
